Hello! I'm new to the sons_of_gondor comm (and the boards :)), which is how I found your fics.
I loved this one! I'm not the best at offering great feedback but I just wanted to say a few things I really enjoyed about it:
- I liked that you had them arguing and then making up at the beginning - as I understand it all brothers argue st some point and it was good to see it in a fic, it's something you only see rarely. Despite that the closeness of their relationship showed realy clearly, and I loved that.
- I also liked that although Faramir's advice re. clothing was practical, you could also clearly see the underlying concern. :) And sneaky Boromir, taking his red tunic with him anyway. ;)
- Finally, I loved the overall idea that they put aside their worries and just enjoyed each other's company on Boromir's last night - I love how you portrayed the boys, too, they both felt very in-character. How wonderful that they would both have that last happy memory with them in the future. I often think of how sad it was that Boromir never got to return to Minas Tirith, and his love for the city shone through clearly in your piece.
Anyway, thanks so much for this story! I really enjoyed it and it left me with a lovely warm feeling. I've no doubt I'll be re-reading it again soon. :)
