You've said so much in each sentence, drawn such strong images, and there's something about the format, the way it jumps forward and back in time (and I love how you end with his birth) that really feels like a store of memories. It makes for a wonderful whole, at turns happy, inspiring, sweet and sad. Really lovely, really touching.
