I'm a bit late in getting around to this, as I've been kinda busy over the last few days, but anyway... Here I've gathered together links to all the fics written or posted for the Six Days of Spooky challenge, grouped by author. (If you know of any that I missed, please do let me know!) They're all fantastic, so if you haven't checked 'em out yet, go and do so!

A Question in the Night Something in the story is a straight lift from a non-Tolkien epic work from a different literary tradition. Brownie points if you can figure it out! :)

And They Fled in Fear (PG) The darkness is approaching, and some of the last inhabitants of Ithilien can see it coming.
Hollow Spears (PG) In the Dead Marshes, time wears away.
Fell Mission (G) The Enemy has many servants. But not all of them are particularly effective.
Their Gaze (PG) The dangers of razing Minas Morgul.
Spectre (R) slash--Faramir/ghost!Boromir.
Silenced (PG) AU. In the back of Boromir's mind, something is happening...
Eye (PG) On a stormy night, the Rangers find that Ithilien can be an unsettling place to be...
The Master (PG) AU. Some time after the four hobbits visited the house of Bombadil, Tom notices something strange afoot.
Also, I want to thank all the participants--I've really enjoyed reading all your spookyfics! I hope everybody had fun writing them too (ain't that what it's all about?) And of course, another "thank you" goes out to everyone who reviewed any of them! As we all know, writers like that. *wink*
I also wanted to ask those who participated or thought about participating... if I decide to make this a yearly thing, do you have any suggestions or gripes? Any way I could make the challenge better/easier to participate in/more fun? Thoughts? This is the first time I've organized something like this, and if I've messed up in any way, please let me know!

Date: 2007-11-04 01:27 am (UTC)I thought you did a very nice job with this challenge, considering you announced it early, and gave everyone six chances to post something. I also loved the spooky banners (and I stole one of your spooky icons too!). I definitely think you should consider making it an annual thing.
Do you know if there are Tolkien-specific Halloween fic comms that you can crosspost the announcements to? Or even just Halloween fic comms that are not necessarily Tolkien-centric? That might help increase participation next year (if you really want more work for yourself...lol!)

Date: 2007-11-13 01:39 am (UTC)I thought about participating, but my brain, she is not working too well lately, which makes me sad, because I do love me some
evilspooky stories. You might think of providing prompts that'll work with any fandom; that might get people's plot bunnies biting.(no subject)
