I had a lot of fun doing this last year, so this year I’d like to invite everyone to partake. Because Halloween is cool, and spookyfic makes it that much better.

Six Days of Spooooky in Middle-earth

Autumn leaves are on the ground, the wind is blowing colder, pumpkins are appearing on porches: Halloween is approaching! So what if they don’t celebrate All Hallows' Eve in Middle-earth (as far as we know)? They have ghosts and goblins and black cats and dark lords, and all manner of spooky things! So let’s get into the "spirit"!

How to participate:

--Write up some spooky, scary, or otherwise Halloween-themed fics, and post them between October 26th and October 31st.
--Ideally, post one or more a day during those 6 days, but fewer (or even just one) is fine! But do make sure to post one on Halloween!
--If you want to write more than six, great! Just post them during those days.
--The pieces don’t have to be scary, but they should include something that feels Halloween-ish. (I know a lot of us aren't used to writing spooky!)
--The pieces can be drabbles or ficlets or whatever you like. Art is good too—feel free to draw or paint or show off your wraith-o’-lantern!
--Label and/or tag your pieces as Six Days of Spooky.
