It is all she can hear aside from his thick, heavy breaths. They will turn to screams when the bowl fills, but for now he stares at her with his scarred eyes. He has given up insulting and cursing her. She practically misses it.

She maneuvers herself carefully, touching his clammy skin only as she must. His prick hardens under her fingers, and he glares at her as she guides the organ within her folds. She does not allow the bowl to tip, even as she shivers around him.

They are alone, silent, trapped together under the drip of poison.

Chillingly beautiful. I love how full to the brim (much like the bowl) this story is, all the unsaid things echoing in the silence of the both of them. This is the sort of fic that makes me pause at the end and really roll it around in my mind for a little while. Really stunning and whip-smart.

Thanks! It's always a little weird to think about myth-stories from a perspective of what else must have gone on and what it would have been like really--seems like a lot of the time the answer is either "amazingly hilarious" or "utterly creepy." Anyway, I'm very glad you liked this! :D
